Swimming Lessons

This is Gavin's second summer taking swimming lessons. Last summer he went to Franco's and this summer he took them at his preschool, Cedarwood. At Cedarwood they have a 3-4 year old, 2 week session (Monday-Thursday) with about 3 or 4 children. I think it was a better experience for Gavin because he got 1 on 1 interaction with the instructor (which was actually his teacher last year for preschool). He feels very comfortable with Ms. Judy. Although he did not like to put his head under the water or float on his back, he still had so much fun learning how to swim! It was so cute to see how they taught the kids. They had them make ice cream with their "ice cream scoops" (hands) and blow bubbles with their "alligator" nose. One funny moment from his lessons is the time when Judy tells Gavin, "Good job, my man" and Gavin says to her, "No i'm not a man, I'm Gavin!" Haha... Geesh, I love that boy!

Every morning they would teach the kids safety about swimming such as wearing life jackets on a boat and wearing sun screen. Gavin loved to sit on Ms. Katie's lap.
