Hughe's Farm: Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch in Hammond. We went last year but it definetly doesn't beat Huber's Farm in Indiana (30 miles north of Louisville)! We sure do miss it there! It was warmer than what we were hoping...87 degrees is a little too warm for Fall...but we still had fun!

Getting Ready for Halloween

On Friday evening, we went to pick out Gavin's Halloween costume. He decided he wanted to dress up as Spiderman! We also picked out a few items for the house so Gavin could decorate.

Meet Mr. Bojangles.
Andrew had a skeleton just like this at his house growing up.

Cedarwood Back to School Picnic

Gavin had his back to school picnic this evening. We went to it last year with my Dad and had a blast but this year it was just us 3. My Dad has been in Brazil for the past 2 weeks and comes back to Louisiana this weekend. We've missed him! After some yummy hot dogs and pulled BBQ pork sandwhiches, we enjoyed all the fun activities.
Getting a blue spider painted on his face.

Decorating cookies.

Playing at the duck pond.

"I caught the blue duck!" By the way, Gavin's favorite color is blue (hence, Go Cats) even though sometimes he says I like Daddy's team, aka Go Cards. But lately, Gavin likes to be different and says Go Jets. He's confused.....and so are we.

He was really good at hula-hooping! He's got the twisting down but needs more of a waist, haha!

Go Gavin, Go Gavin!

I saw this and thought of Gavin's best friend/girlfriend, Addison. We thought you would like this Addie! It won first place.

St. Tammany Parish Fair

On Saturday evening for a few hours we decided to see what the Parish Fair was all about. It was definetly exciting for Gavin! He had a lot of fun seeing all the animals (especially the rooster's who would "talk" back to him), ride the ponies and the other thrilling rides. Gavin's favorite ride was the Elephant's because he could control how high he wanted to go! With our last tickets Gavin had to make the decision on whether he wanted to ride the mini rollercoaster or the "apples" (aka the strawberries) and of course, Gavin chose the strawberries that spin. I was so glad we were not in the strawberries with other people because I probably would have gotten sick from spinning! haha!
